Day 1 and 8 Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura
Your first and last night on this trip will be spent at the eco-friendly Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura. In 2014 the hotel received the environmental award from the Icelandic Tourist Board. Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura is located in the beautiful surroundings of the forested Öskjuhlíð hill and approximately one kilometer from the geothermal beach Nauthólsvík. Skerjafjörður, a small, beautiful neighborhood with a coastal walkway and breathtaking views, is definitely worth a visit. But you are also in the city center in no time! Due to its beautiful surroundings, the hotel has strived to stay in touch with nature and does this by making use of the natural resources in the interior, such as the stone elements located around the public areas of the hotel. These stone features have become one of the main features of Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura. In addition, art has a special place in the hotel. Inspiring works by local, renowned artists such as painters Kristin Gunnlaugsdottir and Kristjan Davidsson, sculptor Adalheidur S. Eysteinsdottir and visual artist Ruri are exhibited here.
Satt, the hotel’s restaurant, serves a range of delicious local, Icelandic specialties and international dishes. You can also come here for breakfast in the morning. The stylish Satt Bar is a pleasant place to relax and chat with other guests.
Inspired by Iceland’s unique environment and natural resources, the Sóley Natura Spa opened in spring 2011 at Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura. Your modern room is soundproofed and comes with a refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities and satellite TV as standard. You will stay on a bed and breakfast basis
